Dirty Teeth Reveal Ancient Peruvians Ate Well
My thoughts
To be a scientist is my dream when I was a senior high school student. After I read the news, I found that research and discovery is still the two things that I love to do most. Just like the researchers in the news, they studied teeth from people who was dead 9,200 to 5,500 years ago and they found what did ancient people ate. Though things they found seem useless, but I think the most important thing is the process of the research. All of things we did are also the same. No matter what the result is, what we have to regard is the process is.

Hello Claire,
every visitor to your country has been to Taoyuan. That's where the International airport is *big smile* To be honest, that is all what I know about your place. Well, that and that is bigger than any city here in Austria.
Btw, do not say below or above, say South and North. Not all maps show North at the top (this is sadly true for some tourist maps in Taiwan, haha). Thus, Taoyuan is South from Taipe. Actually, I think South-West ;-)I do not know much about Australia, either. Think! :-P
Very amused,
Christian

Hi Christian,
How have you been?
Maybe you are more familiar with Taiwan than me. (God, why do I forget the International airport located in Taoyuan...) :)
Could I ask a question? Are you an Australian? Why don't you know much about Australia?

Claire,
I am glad to hear that you are fine. Commercial is anything you can buy. Software is what makes a computer work. Thus I write computer programs for money, right!
I have been to most of Taiwan, but that was in 1984, 1986 & 1987. In 2007 I went to Hualien and Taipei. In 2008 to Taipei only. I like the food in Taiwan very much! But it depends. Some is too strange for me, haha.
(it is always food, not foods, even if there is more than one kind; there are several words like that, e.g. money, culture, etc.; memorize them!)
I have to admit that I do not know where is Tachi. Can you please tell me? I have a fair idea of Taiwan's geography, just tell me roughly.

Christian,
Actually, I don't know where is Tachi too. I picked it casually. I live in Dazhu, a place in Taoyuan County. Taoyuan is below Taipei. Have you ever been to Taoyuan County?
I have no idea about Australia. Could you tell me something about Australia?

Hello Claire, ni hao ma?
Sorry for the empty message previously. Sometimes I click on the wrong buttons, shame on me!
Never be sorry about trying to communicate in a foreign language. I applaud your courage. It is better to try and fail than never trying. Do you agree? As you keep trying, you'll find yourself improving. I will gladly help you with the challenge.
As for your mistakes, be careful about singular and plural like "are any mistake". Either use "is a mistake" or "are any mistakes".
Second, "tell me more about yourself" is sufficient. "Much more about yourself" is just that... too much :-) Also, you see I used "tell". The introduction is at the beginning. As you want to know *more*, it is already beyond the introduction. Thus, use the word tell, not introduce.
Well, I am a Business Software Developer, which means I work on commercial software for businesses. I have been to Taiwan five times. First, to meet my pen pal and then because I like the country and the people a lot. My first trip was in 1984, my last in 2008.
Cheers,
Christian

Man: Honey, the basketball game is about to start. And could you bring some chips and a bowl of ice cream? And . . . uh . . . a slice of pizza from the fridge.
Woman: Anything else?
Man:Nope, that's all for now. Hey, hon, you know, they're organizing a company basketball team, and I'm thinking about joining. What do you think?
Woman: Humph
Man: "Humph" What do you mean "Humph." I was the star player in high school.
Woman: Yeah, twenty-five years ago. Look, I just don't want you having a heart attack running up and down the court.
Man:So, what are you suggesting? Should I just abandon the idea? I'm not that out of shape.
Woman: Well . . . you ought to at least have a physical before you begin. I mean, it HAS been at least five years since you played at all.
Man:Well, okay, but . . .
Woman: And you need to watch your diet and cut back on the fatty foods, like ice cream. And you should try eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Man: Yeah, you're probably right.
Woman: And you should take up a little weight training to strengthen your muscles or perhaps try cycling to build up your cardiovascular system. Oh, and you need to go to bed early instead of watching TV half the night.
Man: Hey, you're starting to sound like my personal fitness instructor!
Woman: No, I just love you, and I want you to be around for a long, long time.
